Services
Since 1993, McSherr has been providing Indiana Medicaid Waiver services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in central Indiana.
After discontinuing Medicare services, our focus on Home and Community Based Waiver services has been a catalyst for significant growth with the state of Indiana focusing on offering more services to individuals on the waiting list.
We currently provide supported living Medicaid services to over 200 consumers with disabilities in the state of Indiana with offices serving those individuals located in Centerville and Indianapolis, IN.
McSherr Inc. provides long term residential services in our three group homes.
Two of the homes are located in Richmond, IN and the other is located in New Castle, IN.
They are licensed as basic developmental homes for eight residents.
The consumers are taught on a daily basis a variety of the activities of daily living to become as independent as possible.
Supported living is designed for people who need assistance with daily living skills in order to live independently in their home environment.
A Supported Living Coordinator (SLC) is responsible for the development, training, and support of Direct Support Professionals within the Supported Living Program.
The SLC will assure that McSherr Supported Living staff are meeting job requirements in the areas of daily living skills, health maintenance, medical administration (waiver sites only), personal care, and behavioral development.
The SLC also participates in and works collaboratively with the "Team" (Case Manager, Behavior Clinician, Guardian/Family/POA, and consumer) to ensure positive consumer outcomes and compliance with all applicable state and federal policies and standards.
