Harmony Homes is an owner operated assisted living community, and is based on one simple vision: "A home is where we would be proud and excited to have our parents live." Harmony Homes opened its first location, Harmony Homes at Hickory Pond, in March of 2012 with 1 resident and continued to grow until it reached its capacity of 24 residents. Since opening, we have added respite and adult day care services.
However, we knew Harmony Homes at Hickory Pond would not be able to serve residents with progressive Alzheimer's and dementia, so we have decided to expand further! As an 805 assisted living facility, Harmony Homes By the Bay is able to care for residents requiring a higher level of care-both assisted living residents and memory care residents with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia in our integrated community.
Harmony Homes strongly believes that high quality assisted living should not be reserved solely for wealthy individuals. We routinely complete price comparisons with other assisted living communities across the seacoast and state of New Hampshire to ensure that we can say that we are one of, if not the most affordable, assisted living facilities in the region.

First, my grandfather needed care at the end of his life and I was shocked at how impersonal the care was he received.
Second, after 20+ years in the Air Force, I still want to serve others.
Third, I don't believe assisted living needs to cost as much as other places are charging.

While living at Harmony Homes By the Bay, residents enjoy the natural sunlight streaming through our large windows and skylights as well as our brightly lit rooms and hallways.
Harmony Homes By the Bay: Our facility was built with the latest Alzheimer's and dementia research in mind.

Our Memory Care Program provides our residents with the specialized supervision and secured environment they need to maintain their dignity and well-being.
Our facility has a full-time Certified Dementia Practitioner as well as 24-hour supervision by our trained memory care team comprised of nurses and caregivers.
Our team focuses on redirecting behaviors with a warm touch and heart rather than relying on the increased use of anti-psychotics.
We work with doctors to establish a plan that weans residents off of medications whenever possible and our caregivers find creative ways to involve residents such as adapting daily routines into different activities that are fun and purposeful to each individual resident.

Our activities department facilitates physically/intellectually/emotionally/spiritually stimulating activities throughout the day and larger events throughout the year including BBQs, fireworks, and holiday parties.
